‘1001 Actions’ is a major campaign initiated by the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation and its network of over one thousand civil society organizations for the mobilization of people and actions dedicated to the promotion of mutual knowledge and respect in the region. In 2008, the "Euro-Mediterranean Year of Intercultural Dialogue", we have a unique opportunity to raise the importance of this issue and to combat misunderstanding and discrimination through our collective action.

Soli simul – Alone together

Soli simul – Alone together reflects the constrictions in dialogue between different characters in society. It’s a dance performance with the ambition to make people leave their normal spheres and embrace each other. Maybe if we change the way we see each other, we can diminish our prejudices and isolation? The show is preformed by a group from Donnergymnasiet, Gothenburg.

EUROMED HERITAGE FIESTA

This action is going to be one of a kind, not only in Sadat City but in Egypt, as a whole. SCLS plans to organize a street parade "mardi gras style" with students and teachers wearing costumes & with decorated floats featuring the different countries chosen! It will be an event to remember with a food-tasting celebration & various competitions including "Best Costume" & "Best Class/Country Representation."

April: Month of Cinema for Solidarity

Four consecutive Saturdays will see at Gijon Sur screening room the cycle of cinema for solidarity. Four documentary films will be first screened in Gijón.
