About the challenges in the implementation of the work on the ground
There can be different ways of defying intercultural dialogue
1) Is based on active citizenship
2) It means be open to the world
3) It means respect cultural diversity
4) It means develop common values, for example through art
The major challenge of the work in the field of intercultural dialogue in Ankara is improving knowledge of the people, in a general sense. More in details the specific objective is helping the people to understanding their neighbours and how is possible to live together.
Do I have any recommendation to improve dialogue in my community?
The main recommendation is to go directly to the people. The more you go to the people and you involve them, the more the aim of intercultural dialogue is going to be achieved.
It was a begining night for us, but it wasn't like a begining, it was more than we expected. People came to see photo gallery, and watched the short film about Dialogue night, and participate to reception. The Night was succesful, people onderstood the message! So let's get ready for the another organizations and night's!
So also our S&G YouTHere YIA caravan was there to get ready for its one year long journey! Turkish National radio and tv assocation, Turkish National agency and some others were there for feature.
