About the Anna Lindh Foundation

The Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation. Working for the promotion of dialogue and the aim of knowing the ‘other’.

The Anna Lindh Foundation is an intergovernmental organization, resourced by the member states of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and the European Commission, and guided by the values of the Barcelona Process, notably the ‘rapprochement between peoples through a social, cultural and human partnership’.

The Anna Lindh Foundation was established in 2004 by the Foreign Ministers of the Euro-Mediterranean Conference to create an institution to promote dialogue between cultures in the region. Conceived with the specific function to act as of a network of National Networks, the Foundation today brings together over 1500 member organizations from across the fields of civil society, all dedicated to the promotion of dialogue.

Since its official inauguration in April 2005, the Anna Lindh Foundation has supported the members of its Networks in developing and implementing a range of actions for the promotion of dialogue.
