The Center for European Studies has been established in the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University; (pursuant to decree no. 11 of 30/3/2002 issued by The Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities Chairman).

Activities (Maximum 130 Words):
The event is based on three main activities: 1. An international workshop entitled: "Dialogue between cultures…….to where??" In order to gain a better understanding for the reasons behind the current situation of culture crisis, four sessions will be held tackling issues related to the topic of dialogue between cultures. Arab and European experts and politicians will be invited to participate in the conference. 2. An international cultural exhibition, where Egyptian, Arab and European organizations will be invited to present their publications as well as their programs aiming at bridging the gap between cultures. There will be an especial exhibition for selling publications. 3. A play entitled: "Me, Myself and I in Dialogue" The play aims to reflect the negative impact of stereotypes in dialogue between people belonging to different cultures which lead to an unfruitful communication in most of the cases and may cause a clash between peoples.
