In this blog, you will find regular updates throughout the ‘1001 Actions’ campaign coming from the team at the Anna Lindh Foundation.
It is my pleasure to update you on the progress and preparation of our campaign for 2008, the ‘1001 Actions for Dialogue’. Let me begin by thanking all of you who contacted us in response to our initial communication. My staff and I were inspired by the amount of responses and the range of positive replies we received to the campaign from all corners of the Euro-Mediterranean region, in addition to the concrete recommendations and proposed ideas for action.
As you know, 2008 is the EU Year of Intercultural Dialogue, a year in which eyes in the region will be on the Anna Lindh Foundation and its Networks. With this in mind, the Foundation is preparing to launch a major international campaign: ‘1001 Actions for Dialogue’. The campaign, which sets out to create a mass mobilization of people and actions, will focus on the promotion of the dialogue and the aim of ‘knowing the other’.
