THOUGHTS FOR DIALOGUE

Thoughts projected on the wall in Birgu.
Two workshops will be organised for youths, aged 13 – 16 and 17 – 21 respectively. These youths hailing from the different communities in Malta will be stimulated to reflect on their thoughts of what intercultural dialogue means to them and their experience of it in their daily life. They will collaborate in order to produce their own personal expression, in the form of brief poetry or other forms of writing, of their reflection and experience. The ‘words’ they produce will then be transformed into an installation which will be projected during specific cultural events till the end of 2008. The first event has taken place on the 22nd May, during the Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue Night, in Birgu. These ‘words’ for Dialogue will alternate periodically during the various events held throughout the year, in order to convey the thoughts of all the youths who would have participated in the workshop.
