We live on an island; a small island
Yet an important one.
Between Europe and Africa,
An ideal foundation for a bridge of understanding
Between the cultures of both continents.

Yet when these cultures arrive
In the form of different people,
With different skins and different languages,
We hold back,
Scared of what these cultures might do;
Scared of the change that they might bring.

We must accept them
For they are the Concrete and the Steel
With which a bridge will be built
That will close the gap between both continents,
And peace will come at last.
