Does Gender Matter?

The residential Training Course is designed as an open space of mutual learning, based on non formal education and the experiential learning methodologies applied under the monitoring and the support of the preparatory team. During the course the multicultural participants’ group will become a forum of intercultural learning and personal development. The main methodological points include the empowerment in competencies, the active and interactive participation, the group and team work, the learner centeredness and the learning from reflected and conceptualised experiences. Special attention will be put on the development of skills, knowledge and attitudes, through a holistic approach, and the raising of values’ awareness. By providing knowledge, skills, and attitudes the course is specially designed to enable educators and youth leaders to act as multiplier agents in society, to promote values of respect and tolerance for Diversity and Human Dignity and to highlight the importance of active citizenship specially regarding gender mainstreaming in youth work. The course seeks as well the visibility of all its actions by opening its sessions and developing actions involving local organisations and general public. We will be glad to send further information and the detailed programme of the course upon request.
