Notre Dame University Intercultural Dialogue Conference
| Upon the request of Dr. Assad Eid, VPSRD, to commemorate the EU Year of Cross-cultural and Inter-Cultural Dialogues, and to encourage research activities among NDU faculty members and students, a series of panel discussions entitled, “Cross-Cultural and Inter-Cultural Dialogues: Bridges among World Cultures and Diverse Communities” will be organized during Spring and Fall 2008. The first panel discussion will be on Friday and Saturday May 30 and 31, 2008. The main theme of this panel will be how and where cultures meet in the fields of sciences, arts, humanities and business. Faculty members and students (graduate or undergraduate) from the seven Faculties at NDU are invited to make 20 minutes presentations. The discussion time will be equivalent to half the time of the whole session. Extended abstracts will be published on a special web-page about two to three weeks before the panel discussion dates so as students get prepared to discuss the issues addressed in the panel. Teachers may give special assignments to their students related to the specific themes of the panel. Only selected and refereed presentations/articles of high research quality and originality will be published in a special series under the general title of the panel series. |

I cannot see anything below, but is you'd like a partner from Poland get in touch. I am representing a NGO called ARABIA.pl that deals with Polish-Arab and Christian-Muslim dialogue.

Dear Carmel:
The Organizing committee of the panel discussion decided to involve only NDU faculty and students as a first step. Later, we may invite external participants.
I will keep you in mind! Thank you!
hello,
I read your decision about only including for the moment students and faculties from NDU. Still i was wondering if as a lebanses scholar ( PHDer in Dance anthropolgy)preparing my PHD in France and working actually on interculturality and transmission in contemporary dance it will be possible to submitt a paper? It will be interesting then to have the opportunity to present and have an "intercultural" dialogue about dance research (a field not developped in lebanon) with a lebanese audience.
Thank you.
