Together with the exhibition themes developed from the exhibition/competition will be discussed in depth using informative updates on technology and innovations. Laboratories will be set up to demonstrate clearly the moment of creation of the artwork as well as the difficulties encountered in maintaining and restoring them. It will be combined with a cultural programme which foresees guided visits of the frescoes and the important library of the Abbey of Farfa, as well as concerts of music composed for violin, actors who will narrate the history and the development of the arts in the Mediterranean,chocolate tasting.

Mediterranean: lands and people's Wall

During the course of the Benedictine week, to be held in conjunction with Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for Dialogue between Cultures, the APAI - Association for the Promotion of the Arts in Italy (www.apaiarte.it), will present the 3rd Competition on Frescos and their painters“Mediterranean lands and peoples”, international comparison of the work and protagonists in Lazio.
The competition will be open to Italian and foreign artists, to primary and secondary schools and to institutes and arts academies alike and will be managed directly by APAI, using applicable regulations, as from 10th February.Art works received by 4th March, will be displayed from 13th March to the closing day of 16th March when prizes will be given for the best.The exhibition will promote art works and their creators in order to facilitate direct contact between the general public (adults and children), the artists (Italian and international) and the art work they have created.
