Objectifs (maximum de 50 mots):
This training course aims to widen the understanding on religious diversity and to develop competences of youth leaders on intercultural dialogue from a gender perspective through analyzing concepts, realities and ways for developing it through youth work. The course contributes therefore to the European year of Intercultural Dialogue and aims at developing tools and implementing partnership among youth organisations in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
Groupes cibles (maximum de 50 mots):
We target a mixed group of educators, trainers and youth leaders coming from intercultural, gender and human rights based youth organisations. The Course wants to gather 25 participants from European and Meda countries with organisational, cultural and religious diversity and geographical and gender balance.
Activités (maximum 130 mots):
The residential Training Course is designed as an open space of mutual learning, based on non formal education and the experiential learning methodologies applied under the monitoring and the support of the preparatory team. During the course the multicultural participants’ group will become a forum of intercultural learning and personal development. The main methodological points include the empowerment in competencies, the active and interactive participation, the group and team work, the learner centeredness and the learning from reflected and conceptualised experiences. Special attention will be put on the development of skills, knowledge and attitudes, through a holistic approach, and the raising of values’ awareness. By providing knowledge, skills, and attitudes the course is specially designed to enable educators and youth leaders to act as multiplier agents in society, to promote values of respect and tolerance for Diversity and Human Dignity and to highlight the importance of active citizenship specially regarding gender mainstreaming in youth work. The course seeks as well the visibility of all its actions by opening its sessions and developing actions involving local organisations and general public. We will be glad to send further information and the detailed programme of the course upon request.
